Man is fallen, sinful, helpless, ungodly and condemned. But in his great love, God sent Jesus to redeem us. The cross is the greatest proof of man's depth of depravity and God's depth of love. The love and forgiveness that God gave to unworthy sinners becomes part of the new nature God gives when he saves a person. Saved men can now love and forgive others even when others do terrible sins against them. Whatever others might do against us, it could never compare to our sin versus God.
